Don't Call My Name, Roberto.

Well, ladies and gentleman it's happened, we have a winner! Ali picked Roberto. How many of you were surprised? C'Mon, the man salsa dances and isn't afraid to do so on request. That alone is bonus points. In what was the most. (un)dramatic. rose. ceremony. EVER. Ali chose not to advance Chris on to the final rose, hell the final date, and cut her losses by selecting Roberto as her final suitor. I for one, though not everyone will agree with me, felt that it was a genuinely great move on Ali's part. Time and time again, Chris L. has proven to be the utmost gentleman, so why drag him through the pressure and stress of getting to the final rose only to be rejected? Really, she did him a favor, because now Chris L. will get more girls then he had ever imagined. I spent the entire season annoyed and making fun of Ali, and here she totally redeems herself!

So what did I learn this season from the Bachelorette? Many, many, things. I learned that one day, we will all find the man of our dreams. Then he will propose to you with a $30K ring that he didn’t pay for atop a mountain overlooking the Tahitian ocean with a great suit, and you wearing a gown with your hair and makeup perfectly manicured. That’s what happens in real life right? That’s what Ali taught me. That, and that it’s Ok to "Sacrifice everything for Love" when "love" means going on a reality show where they have pre-selected 30 random but completely good looking (mostly) sane men for me to choose from while we are flown, boated, and most importantly helicoptered around the world before I make my eventual decision on what lucky sap gets to marry me. I cant wait!

Hello, Summer.

I realize that it's two thirds the way over, but this summer has been enjoyable nonetheless. While I do also enjoy the cooler months, there is always a special feeling in the air during summertime. Everyone seems to be more kickback, we stay up later, and want to sleep in longer. I always love Summer nights. My summer started off with a bang with a two week trip to Los Angeles and Maui. I got to see some of the sights I've ALWAYS wanted to see in L.A. (most things I only read about in People Magazine). Maui was phenomenal, perfect weather, great beaches, and an over all relaxing atmosphere:

Summer is the time for "Blockbuster" movies, and this summer was no different. While I love going to the movies no matter what the season, this summer did not disappoint. Some of my favorite movies I've seen thus for were, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse":

I know, if you know me, you're not surprised. I don't care, roll your eyes ALL you want. I fell in love with the books several summer's ago while vacationing with my sister, and read all four of them in 2 weeks. Eclipse was by far the best out of the three made so far. They pretty much kept it to the book, and didn't leave out any of my favorite scenes. The big "engagement" scene did not disappoint. Plus, MORE EDWARD! Take that, Team Jacob. Another movie I loved this summer was Inception:

I'm not even going to say that I understood all of it, but the movie was just a blast to sit through. Leonardo DiCaprio can really do no wrong in my eyes, and I love Ellen Page. Plus, this movie is really going to re-launch the career of one of my crushes, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. *Swoooon!*

Every Summer I feel like I get into more of a book reading mode. I was fortunate enough to get a Kindle back in May, and I am in love. It's amazing! I don't have to worry about book shelf space anymore. However, I did have a few hard copy books I needed to get through first. I started "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" which is part of The Millennium Series. Several friends had suggested this to me, and while the beginning was excruciatingly slow, once I got through it I couldn't put the book down. I'm also 3/4's of the way through the 2nd book, "The Girl Who Played with Fire":

My soundtrack for the summer has consisted if a lot of Florence + The Machine. I'm in love with the Eclipse Soundtrack (shocker!) which I listened to religiously while on vacation. Also, the new Christina Aguilera album, "Bionic" came out in June. It got a lot of bad press, but I am loving it.

Even though it feels like the season's are shifting, we only have a month and a half of summer left. Things I am looking forward to:

I think this is my favorite season. It's still warm enough in CA to wear a tshirt, but not brutally hot.

My Golden Birthday:

As much as I hate being one year away from 30, I get to celebrate my Golden Birthday this year since I am turning 29 on September 29th. Mark your Calendars!! The countdown is on.
